Welcome to the Internet Pissing Contest blog!

Hey everyone,
You scoured the internet and somehow landed on my blog! Since I'm too lazy to make a bunch of separate blogs, (and I think anyone of you are also too lazy to click through to those). This blog will consist of a little bit of everything, but primarily of the two things that many people have told me to make a blog about - food and movies. I always took their comments as a polite 'shut the hell up,' but I've decided that I should make one anyway!

Let me tell you - internet - a little about me. I'm not abashed to say that I have low class tastes, so I'm going to list a couple things here that if you agree with, maybe we should be friends (or at least you should click the subscribe button).

I'll start by saying that this blog was originally going to be called screaming into the wind, but apparently that's taken by like 10 people and all their blogs are about politics or whatever. I know that the internet is a black hole, and my movie or restaurant reviews are going to be just 1 of the 1000000 out there. So I went for the internet pissing contest.

Favorite Movie: Die Hard 1. I'll trade you the Corleone family for the McClanes any day. It's not to say that I don't appreciate the work of Coppola or Scorsese, but McTiernan made some amazing films that I just keep coming back to year after year. The Thing (1982) is also a close second on my favorite movies because that film is just completely fucking awesome. More on these later, as I'll probably kick off my site by reviewing movies that came out 20 years ago.

Favorite TV Show: The Venture Bros. This of course is always changing, but for the past month or two I've been watching and re-watching this show without it getting tired. I am pretty bad at time management so all those acclaimed shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men have been put on the back burner until I find some serious time to sink my teeth into them. But this show doesn't get enough attention in my mind.

Favorite Food: Mac and Cheese. Growing up the blue box was my life blood. I brought it over to friends houses for their parents to make for me, and it was easy enough to cook at a young age that I could do it with out moms help. I still gotta say that I love this stuff, still the best prepackaged Mac and Cheese that I've had. But making it from scratch is always the best, and I'll post my favorite recipes and restaurants to find mac and cheese later.

Favorite Meal: In no specific order breakfast, brunch, lunch, brinner, lupper, dinner. I love to eat, and I love to eat in between eating. Maybe Mac and Cheese is my favorite food, but that doesn't really mean that I eat it all the time. I love all the different flavors that each of these meals brings to the table (lol).

Favorite Beer: Miller High Life. Ok, I'll admit. this really may be a symptom of the price more than anything but damn it I drink a lot of it. If I'm given the choice to drink any beer I doubt I'm gonna say bring on the The Champagne of Beers, but if I reach into a cooler and come out with one, I'm not sending it back.

Favorite Holiday: Christmas. I'm no sucker, I love Christmas time. The friends, the family, the food, the music, the traditions.
The music? Yeah I said it! As Thanksgiving has just passed, clearly it's almost Christmas, and I wasted no time breaking out the classics.

Favorite Book: Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court. Well I'd be the first to admit that I haven't read enough. And, I'll be honest here and say that this title didn't fly into my head as fast as any of these others did. but, I read this book years ago and it's still fresh in my mind, that's gotta count for something. I'm going to try and right this wrong eventually, I swear.

That's me, I guess.
